Wilderness Safaris describe themselves as a responsible ecotourism and conservation company”. They state that “the reason we exist is to protect pristine wilderness areas and the flora and fauna – or biodiversity – that they support. They believe that in protecting these areas, and including the local communities in this process, we will make a difference to Africa and ultimately the world. In short, they believe that the world’s wilderness areas will save humankind.
Through our safari operations and private access to nearly three million hectares of southern Africa’s finest wildlife areas, they offer guests a unique and life-changing experience.
Waste Water Challenge
How to remain green and conserve the environment, whilst recycling waste water effectively?
Sewage Treatment Solution
A 10-cube WWT solution was installed and the clear, clean, odourless effluent is used to water the nursery, which is aiming to propagate indigenous trees and the remainder is directed towards the wetland. The WWT system constitutes part of the “back of house” tour for guests, which is unique to Wilderness Safari.
